Horticulture Group

The Horticulture Group was formed to increase members' knowledge and enjoyment of growing and using plants in the landscape and home. Programs of the Horticulture Study Group are educational to give more in-depth knowledge of various horticulture topics and to have fun sharing our common interest in plants.

The Horticulture Group visited Reynolda House and Gardens in Sept.

Oct 15, 2026 Thurs, 11:00. Camellia Forest Nursery. This is an established nursery specializing in Camellias. We will get a tour and discussion of their process and varieties. If you want to add a visit to the English Garden it is a $10 fee. 620 NC Hwy 54 W. Chapel Hill, NC 27516

Dec 4, 2026 Fri, 11-1. Homewood Nursery. This is a long established family nursery.  We will get a tour of their extensive Poinsettia varieties, many of which they developed themselves. They have many outdoor and indoor plants, as well as a lovely gift shop. 10809 Honeycutt Rd. Raleigh, NC 27614
