April 7- Community Gardens: Building Food, Community, and Connections by Amy Ballard

Amy Ballard is the Community Garden Coordinator for the City of Raleigh, where she works with gardeners, volunteers, and community partners to support and expand public gardening opportunities throughout the city. She holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Environmental Systems from North Carolina A&T State University and has more than a decade of experience in horticulture, sustainable agriculture, garden education, and community outreach. Amy has worked in extension, research, nonprofit education, and workforce development, and is passionate about helping people connect with plants, food production, and one another through gardening.
